FAQs

  • We collect personal and sensitive information about you (or your child) in the course of providing you with our services, to contact and communicate with you, to respond to your enquiries and for other purposes set out in our Privacy Policy.

We collect your information to provide you with our services, to comply with the NDIS and NDIA obligations and for other purposes as set out in our Privacy Policy. We take your privacy seriously and generally only disclose this information to our third-party contractors and suppliers as required to provide you with our services, by law or in accordance with the NDIS.

Our Privacy Policy contains more information about how we use, disclose and store your information and details how you can access and correct your personal information.

  • FreeFlow Physio provides 30, 45 and 60 minute appointments.

For NDIS clients, the 60-minute rate is set at $193.99 in accordance with the current NDIA price guide.

For HCP and Private clients, the 60-minute rate is $220 to account for 10-minutes of minimum travel.

30- and 45-minute appointments are set at 50% and 75% of their respective hourly rates.

Travel charges are discussed further below.

  • It depends.

NDIS reports, assistive technology requests and other billable activities such as multidisciplinary meetings will be charged in 15-minute increments at $193.99/hr.

For HCP and private clients, time-consuming or complex tasks such as initial exercise program prescription or letters to support equipment purchase from home-care providers may also be charged in 15-minute increments at $193.99/hr.

Simple tasks such as emails, phone calls, or updating a basic exercise program are free of charge.

Rest assured - all relevant costs will be discussed with you to contain informed consent before proceeding.

  • Yes. As FreeFlow Physio is a community-based physiotherapy service, travel charges apply to cover fuel and vehicle upkeep.

For NDIS clients, travel charges are billed in 5-minute increments (at $193.99/hr) from a minimum of 10- to a maximum of 30-minutes.

For HCP or Private clients, the hourly rate is rounded up slightly as a flat travel charge. There are no additional travel costs.

For all clients, travel time is calculated based on locality and scheduling, and may be negotiable. Please get in touch to discuss!

  • Yes. Unfortunately as a physiotherapy sole trader, time is livelihood - and late cancellations spend time that could be used to provide other billable work.

As such, FreeFlow Physio reserves the right to charge for cancellations where less than 24 hours notice has been given, up to no more than the full appointment cost. For on-the-spot cancellations, travel charges may be incurred.

In these cases, I will endeavour to use this time to complete admin duties relevant to your needs (e.g., exercise program planning, report writing) at no additional cost.

Please see the Terms & Conditions page for more details.

  • Yes, payments can be taken through Medicare or private health insurance via Medipass (Tyro Health).

This is for private clients only.

Medicare claims are accepted under item 10960, which provides a benefit of $58.30 for 5 sessions to treat a chronic condition under a GP-provided Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.

Private Health rebates will depend on your insurance provider and specific plan.

For both Medicare and private health insurance, an out-of-pocket gap will be charged to match the $200 hourly rate (pro rata per appointment).

  • Unfortunately not.

As a small sole-trader business, FreeFlow Physio has opted not to register as an NDIS-registered provider with the NDIS Commission at this stage. This means that NDIA-managed clients cannot be seen.

Self- and Plan-managed clients can still be seen by FreeFlow Physio under the current NDIS rules.

  • It’s up to you!

In many cases, I prefer to use bodyweight and the home-environment in order to perform functional movement and activity.

However, I travel with a variety of physiotherapy and exercise equipment and may use various pieces during sessions as required.

I do not sell equipment directly. However, if a particular piece of equipment interests you and is relevant to your goals and needs, I can assist you to trial or purchase these items through NDIS AT requests, your home care package, or privately.

Please note that administrative time for report writing is billed at $193.99/hr as discussed above.

  • Telehealth may be arranged under some circumstances (e.g., to substitute a cancellation due to illness) but is not a standard service provided at this stage.

However it is an option I may consider in the future if there is enough interest!

  • FreeFlow Physio is based in the northern suburbs of Sydney, covering the following regions:

  • Freeflow Physio focuses on using exercise coaching and prescription to help clients take an active role in their health and movement journey. This is very safe, and all exercises will be tailored to you and your abilities.

However simple hands-on assessment and treatment techniques such as soft tissue massage may at-times be used to help facilitate a transition to more active intervention. FreeFlow Physio does not use dry-needling or joint manipulation techniques.

There are some minor risks involved in all physiotherapy intervention, as outlined in our Terms & Conditions page. However please rest assured that all techniques used by FreeFlow Physio are performed by a registered physiotherapist who will take all necessary steps to ensure that these risks are minimal.
